Monique Guitterrez, Assistant Principal
Ms. Monique Guitterrez
I am a proud graduate of the University of New Orleans and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I began my teaching career at JB Martin Middle School and have spent 19 years educating students across grades K–8 in subjects including Physical Education, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math, while also taking on leadership roles such as ELA Content Leader and Mentor Teacher. Most recently, I taught 5th grade ELA and Social Studies.
I am married to my husband, Steven, a fellow educator, and together we have three children. In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
I believe in the mission of Ethel Schoeffner Elementary School: to provide a high-quality education that empowers all students to work both independently and cooperatively, growing into empathetic, respectful, and productive life-long learners. Through strong partnerships between the school, families, and students, I know we can make this mission a reality.
ESE is a place where Every Student Excels—and I am excited to see our students shine this year!
