Mrs. Vanessa Terry

I am proud to return to my hometown as principal of Ethel Schoeffner Elementary.  It has been fascinating to see the growth and development of this special neighborhood community over the years.  I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from Nicholls State University.  After teaching first and third grade for several years at Mimosa Park Elementary, I later worked as a teacher facilitator of technology where I had the privilege of servicing students and teachers at six of our elementary schools, including Schoeffner.  When I learned how much I enjoyed teaching teachers I decided to go back to school to add an educational technology facilitator certification and master's degree in educational leadership.  Prior to coming to Schoeffner, I served as an assistant principal and then principal at Luling Elementary.  I have had the privilege of working for St. Charles Parish Public Schools for 28 years.

My husband Shawn and I have two daughters.  Recently, I've become a grandmother to an adorable, happy baby boy!  We love spending time together on the water and traveling, especially to Disney World.
